Wholy S-lack of updates

Sorry that this has been slow lately, honestly have been beyond busy with day to day life. Don't worry though I'm working on a few things, and they should be all available soon. If anyone has anything they'd like to add to this blog email me at tablesnfables.gmail.com......I'm looking for some contributors. Thanks

First day of Summer

Today was the first day of  Summer, and having the day off it meant riding and filming had to happen. Such a nice day too, the weather was perfect. There's really nothing like cruising around the city with a few dudes on a nice day, even if you get nothing done it will always be something I enjoy. I did realize that everything we attempted to ride and or film today we were tossed out of, I forgot about that having been riding the city mostly on weekends for the last few sessions there. Overall a fun day and Chris Tardiff snapped a few pictures to commemorate the day. Enjoy

Bio: Rocco Quintiliani

The next guy on my list of local Ma. dudes that should be getting more notice is Rocco Quintiliani. He rides both MTN. and BMX bikes, and kills it on both. He is one of the best guys to ride with as well. I've spent alot of the last few years riding with him and his room-mates. I can't even begin to explain how good Rocco is at all aspects of riding besides that he goes big, and is smooth as butter. So here are a few things he wrote about his current status, and of course a few riding shots.

 Age: 25

Live in Yarmouth mass with two homos and have sweet jumps in my back yard

I work full time as an electrician to support my habits

I tend to ride a lot of dirt, park and street on both Mtb and Bmx. There both fun so why choose just one.

I'm either riding with the local DGK's at the park or the mauls crew or my roomies, mike n clint.

Right now I ride for DartmoorUSA, highland mountain bike park, and mauls bike shop.

Tablesandfables.com is born

I've bought the domain name tablesandfables.com, with this starts the beginning of something bigger than just a blog. I'm working on a few things right now (that I hinted to weeks ago), but with the .com rolling...that's step number one. From here over the next few weeks I'll be making some moves, we'll see how all goes. Not making any claims of world domination, just ready for the next step.

Crashing sucks

I was reminded today that this thing we do can really hurt you. Watched as someone went straight to the ground on his face. Caused by a hole in the ramps. That kinda crash always makes me say to myself....damn this is actually dangerous and we can get hurt doing this. It always puts a damper on my session from that point on and more or less kills my motivation for the day. For some reason it floats around in my head the rest of the time I spend on my bike the day it happens. But like the old saying goes: "You wanna play, you gotta pay". I mean don't get me wrong, this is no new revelation. It's just watching it happen brings be back to reality that BMX is something that can literally kill you. Enough of the the doom and gloom, bikes are fun and you should respect them. Now go ride

Hingham skatepark busted

This was emailed to me this morning. I think it's actually funny that it took this long to get to this point. I'll be at the meeting and fill everyone in on the outcome. Anyone with me? Click the link to see what I'm referring to.

Kid gives bike riding speech

Isn't this what we all felt at one time or other? I still do everytime I ride!

One windy ass Thursday

Haven't ridden in over a week because my wrist and palm were all bruised and swollen from a stupid crash. So I decided that I had sat enough and would go riding to check out this N. Attleboro park that a few friends had been telling me about. So I gathered up a few of the usually suspects and we headed out that way, with no real sense of were this park was other than I was told that it was behind a YMCA in Attleboro and that it was literally "in the woods". So off to Attleboro we headed and to my surprise there are 4 Y's in Attleboro. After a driving to 2 of them, we decided to text some people in the know and they got us where we needed to be. The park is super fun, although pretty ratty. It's got part of the old Impact ramps from Kevin Robinson's old Providence park from the early 90's, so you know that the ramps have seen better days. With that said we rode it, had fun and moved on to a few other spots throughout the day.Later on in the day we met up with Bobby Proctor and had an overall fun session. Just wish it wasn't so god damn windy!
The best part of the day was the end when we were just cruising around East Providence and a few little kids happened to find us and tell us that they had a "quarterpike" at the end of a deadend street. We decided to follow them.... and wow what a set up (was beat-up but kinda fun), these kids were psyched on us and I remembered being younger and meeting guys that rode and just being blown away. Hopefully we started them on the journey of BMX, by giving them a little taste of what is possible if you stick with it. Enough of me rambling on. The following pics were mostly shot by JT Ahl, a few were from me.
